Holiday Tree Lighting
Enjoy festive tunes from a lively marching band, tasty snacks, and a special visit from Santa Claus himself! FREE EVENT
On Christmas Eve in 1931, during the Great Depression era construction of Rockefeller Center, workers decorated a small balsam fir tree and the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony was born. Many years ago, during a tree scouting trip, the Rockefeller Center’s Gardens Division “discovered” the thirty-five foot pine tree that lives in the middle of Brotherhood Winery. Several offers were made to purchase the tree for the Rockefeller Center, but the winery chose not to part with it. Instead, the winery decided to save the tree and decorate it with lights every year in celebration of the holidays. We are so happy to continue this beautiful tradition and hope to see you out there!
